West Virginia Investment Adviser Representative Registration Requirements

A West Virginia investment adviser representative must be registered and associated with an investment adviser or federal covered adviser before transacting business and files through the national Form U4/IARD channel. The statutory initial and renewal fee is $75; any current configured IARD amount must be freshly verified before implementation and kept distinct from the statutory fee. Qualification is Series 65 or Series 7 plus Series 66. Registration is annual and ordinarily effective at noon on the 30th day after filing unless a denial proceeding is pending or the Commissioner makes it effective earlier. No West Virginia IAR CE mandate, designation waiver, categorical fingerprint requirement, or EVEP availability is asserted without a fresh controlling source.
