West Virginia Broker-Dealer Agent Registration Requirements

A West Virginia broker-dealer agent must be registered and associated with the broker-dealer before transacting business and files through the national Form U4/CRD channel. The statutory initial and renewal fee is $70; the current FINRA schedule lists individual fees of $100 for initial registration and transfer/relicense and $82 for renewal. These configured amounts are shown separately and do not rewrite the statutory fee. Qualification requires Series 63 plus the FINRA examination appropriate to the actual activity. Registration is annual and ordinarily effective at noon on the 30th day after filing unless a denial proceeding is pending or the Commissioner makes it effective earlier. West Virginia Agent EVEP is not available. No categorical fingerprint, general exam waiver, military exception, or separate state-agent CE allocation is asserted.
