Illinois requires IAR registration and currently charges $150 for filing and renewal. Current Rule 130.843 requires Series 65 or Series 7 plus Series 66, subject to its grandfathering and good-standing professional-designation substitutions. A person unregistered in every jurisdiction for two years ordinarily requalifies. Effective March 19, 2025, Rule 130.882 permits eligible IARs to preserve Series 65 or the IAR component of Series 66 for up to five years through EVEP; the conditions must be applied individually. This dated closure supersedes the earlier Needs Verification conclusion.

Rule 130.881 also requires twelve IAR CE credits annually: six ethics/professional-responsibility credits, at least three of which are ethics, plus six products-and-practice credits. An unmet requirement produces CE-Inactive consequences under the rule. Reciprocity, reporting, and exceptions must be applied individually; do not describe FINRA firm-element CE as automatically satisfying Illinois IAR CE.

Correction Required. The cited 2025 adopted rules also establish mandatory annual IAR continuing education under Rule 130.881: six ethics/professional-responsibility credits, including at least three ethics hours, plus six products/practice credits, with CE-Inactive consequences. Append that consequential claim before narrow re-review. This pathway remains excluded from Bill.

The Rule 130.881 CE requirement, allocation, and CE-Inactive consequence are now appended above and in the shared core. Status remains QA Ready for narrow Sarge re-review; it does not route to Bill unless Sarge issues Research Approved.
