FINRA’s Series 24 examination assesses an entry-level General Securities Principal. It requires association with and sponsorship by a FINRA member or another applicable SRO member firm. The exam currently delivers 150 scored questions and 10 unidentified unscored pretest questions, for 160 delivered items, allows 225 minutes, costs $235, and requires a 70% passing score. The ordinary GP registration route also requires valid SIE and Series 7 qualifications. Passing Series 24 alone does not create principal registration or unrestricted supervisory authority.
